This is a sort-of re-creation of the Jet Star 2 ride designed by Anton Schwarzkopf and themed to match the installation at Lagoon, in Farmington, UT. You can find some information here. There's a picture of the real ride here. Another picture of the same model ride -- but not Lagoon's copy -- is here. That second picture gives a pretty good idea of the track layout of the real ride.
So why do I call it a "sort-of" re-creation? Well, everything about the layout is pretty faithful to the original except for the little pigtail at the top of the lift hill. Also, when the real ride runs, there are 2-3 vehicles on the lift at the same time, which RCT won't allow without adding blocking in the hill, which messes up the nice spiral lift.
Oh, and I moved the block brake that's encountered just before the tilted helix. In my version it's in the middle of the ride; on the real ride, it's on the side, as you pass by the lift. The problem is that I couldn't take the track down a hill where it needs to go because RCT 2 is pretty limited about where track can run. So I had to put the drop a bit later than it is on the real ride, and the vehicles would stall if I put the block brake in the right place.
And another thing. The re-creation is much taller (and therefore faster) than the real ride. But the real ride is probably more intense that this one, believe it or not. I'd have made it more to scale, but RCT 2 just won't let you get the tracks in there as tight as they need to be. It's kind of frustrating sometimes!
At any rate, I'm not totally happy with this re-creation. OK, I'll say it. It sucks. But the peeps ride it, so I might as well share it anyway. I may, uh, re-visit it someday to re-vise it a bit. Until then, though, the park guests still love to ride this coaster, so you might as well add one to your park! And as you can see from the picture, I forgot to make the track ties orange when I themed it. I definitely need to re-work this one a bit... (though due to limitations in RCT2, I doubt it will ever get a whole lot better).
